Pre-Diabetes

Pre-diabetes is a condition where blood glucose levels are higher than normal, but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as type 2 diabetes. By making lifestyle changes, someone with pre-diabetes may prevent or delay the development of diabetes.

People who have a strong family history or high risk for developing diabetes should be screened at 40 years and every three years thereafter.

If you would like more information on how to prevent or delay development of type 2 diabetes in an interactive and supportive environment, please see our Pre-Diabetes program.
